A small proportion of CIF Funding will fund expansion projects to address overcrowding or for additional places for academies and sixth-form colleges. Only those with an Ofsted rating of Excellent or Good and that can prove an urgent need to expand thier exisiting facilities and/or floor space to address overcrowding or increase the number of admissions are eligible. It's expected that applications for expansion projects will be heavily oversubscribed - so it's imperative applicants make a comprehensive application to be considered.
In 2018-19, the Healthy Pupils Capital Fund (HPCF) intends to facilitate an improvement in Young People being able to access and use dining, kitchen, sporting and changing room facilities. This HPCG will be allocated direcly through the school condition allocations. The additional funding is for the 2018/19 round only. The same assessment and process will be followed for the HPCF as the CIF process.
eco-classrooms can help - because we specialise in creating inspiring high quality adaptable spaces - that are quick to build in order to meet forthcoming shortages in pupil places or facilities. Our architects will consult with your Estate Managers, School Business Managers and Contractors to discuss the best proposals and then put together some complimentary plans and costings ready to submit for your pending CIF or HPCF Funding Bid. Where relevant - we can also assist with additional information for your bid application.
If your expansion project intends to replace an existing building such as an old mobile classroom; with a highly energy efficient building such as an eco-classroomTMthen a SALIX Financing Loan Scheme could well be relevant - due to the significant energy savings that will be achieved over the long term.
So, if you're considering submitting a Funding Bid and would like further information about how eco-classrooms can help, please get in touch.
